![]() Jeez, I wonder why they did that? I don’t know, maybe because there isn’t an on/off switch for schizophrenia? That’s the whole point. They get under your skin and I’ve seen many complain about how these voices are annoying, they put you off from objectives and that they never go away. On one side of your headset, you have a voice complimenting you, motivating you and not letting you give up and on the other end, you’ll have a voice that really tries to push your buttons and make you feel stupid for your mistakes in game through puzzles and damage in combat. ![]() You really do get that split between positive and negative with the voices that Senua encounters. These voices take on two personas, the Angels and Demons. ![]() The game even says so before the game starts that this game is better experienced with headphones and it not only really embellishes the game but it’s actually vital to your gameplay performance. Senua suffers from mental psychosis and hallucinations which are really made clear by the opening credits. The psychological experience that this character goes through. This is where the Unique Selling Point of the game really lies. There is no backstory, there is no introduction to this character other than the voices that you hear in her head. Epect improved visuals with raytracing and three graphics settings: Performance, Resolution, and Enriched (the one with the raytracing). When I first saw announcements and details leaking about the upcoming game by Ninja Theory, I was intrigued mainly because of the title, Hellblade. ![]() And finally, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice just got a next-gen optimization patch on Xbox Series X|S. But never say never! Maybe a crowdfunded campaign could raise the funds needed to make this real. The project never got off the ground at Saban, and it was eventually shopped elsewhere with no luck. It would've taken inspiration from the Batman Arkham games, but with a Power Rangers spin. Jason Bischoff, formerly Saban's Director of Global Consumer Products revealed that the company was pitched a game tentatively titled Project Nomad. ![]() Speaking of game announcements-or lack thereof-Saban, the company behind the Power Rangers, had at one point kicked around the idea of making a big-budget AAA open-world game starring everyone's favorite multi-colored teenagers with attitude. Still, that means there's still plenty to cover, considering all of the first- and third-party titles coming to Xbox Series X and S, PC, and Game Pass. Microsoft has already made it clear they're focusing on in-depth looks at games that have already been announced, so don't expect any new game announcements. That's just one day before the festivities kick off on Wednesday, August 25th.
